Study Says Exactly How Many Minutes You Should Stand At Work
Are you standing while reading this?
Chances are you're not. You're probably sitting. In a car, on a train, at your desk, on your couch, there are endless places that you could be sitting while reading this, but we should all probably get up and stand.
The British Journal of Sports Medicine tackled the topic of over-sitting at work, and came up with the exact amount of time we should stand each day.
Two hours.
Really? We have to stand for two full hours while we are at work? And this study is expecting you to actually exercise outside of that two hours.
Ready for this? Two hours is just the baby step... they actually want you to stand for four hours each day, but to start small. So basically I need to go back to waiting tables?
