Super Tiny Endangered Monkey is at Summerfield Zoo
Going to the zoo in the summer was always one of my favorite things to do as a kid, this year you can bring your kids to Summerfield Zoo where they can see a super tiny monkey on the endangered species list.
Forgetting checking out the giant Lions and Giraffes at a zoo this summer, instead check out the "Cotton-top" Tamarin Monkey that weighs less than two pounds at Summerfield Zoo.
According to MyStateline.com, "Cotton-top" Tamarin Monkeys are one of the most endangered species in the world, listed as critically endangered.
They're originally from Colombia, and there are less then 5,000 "Cotton-top" Tamarin Monkeys left in the wild.
Currently, Summerfield Zoo has one male, but they are hoping to a female monkey soon in hopes to breed the monkeys.
