Teacher Of The Week is Creating Geometry Lovers At Polo High School
Congratulations to Mrs. Plock from Polo Community High School, she is 97ZOK's newest Teacher Of The Week.
Being a teacher during the COVID-19 pandemic has been a difficult time for many families. Most of my fondest memories of high school, were just being inside an entertaining teacher's classroom. Going to class, sitting at a desk, surrounded by classmates, learning from the charismatic teacher standing up front, are all things we said goodbye to for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.
We applaud Mrs. Plock for finding ways to still give her students an enjoyable 'classroom' experience, in digital form. The nomination letter we received for Mrs. Plock, was written by a sophomore at PCHS, in her 5th hour geometry class, that student writes:
Mrs.Plock has been one of the most dedicated teachers this year. Although she may teach math like geometry, I always look forward to her classes. Even at the beginning of the school year, with everything going on like her being a volleyball coach and her one year old baby girl she would always come to school early so her students could come in for help! She gives us birthday cards for either our half birthday or for our actual birthday. Currently, we are out of school doing e-learning, but so far for geometry she is so much help even if it is through a computer. She puts in a lot of time to make videos for us for our projects explaining everything. Overall Mrs. Plock is an outstanding teacher at PCHS and deserves everything in the world.
