Teacher Of The Week: Mr. Sartino From Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy

Congratulations to 97ZOK's newest Teacher Of The Week from Rockford's Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy.

Jimmy Sartino, the newest Teacher Of The Week, is new to Rockford's Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy and already he's making his students feel loved and respected. As this week's honored teacher, Jimmy scored good stuff from Broadway Florist, Nothing Bundt Cakes and Oriental Trading Company.

The nomination letter came from one of his new students, Joe Boeke, Joe writes:

Mr. Sartino deserves to be the teacher of the week, because he does so much for our school!

He teaches my biology and theology classes, teaches 5/6 grade P.E. middle school history, religion and logic. He’s completely new to our school, and makes me feel like he’s been here for 10 years. He relates to all his students in a way where he feels like a friend. He tells us stories to help us understand complicated thoughts and makes us feel like the most important person in the world when we ask him questions. Jimmy Sartino deserves to be the teacher of the week. Many students say that about their teacher. But there is NO way they could mean it as much as I do.
