Teacher of the Week: Mrs. Fickbohm, Christian Life School

It's Friday! So it's time to name a new Teacher of the Week. The honor this week, goes to Mrs. Fickbohm from Christian Life School.

The winning submission this week is not from a student, but from a students mother, Christa Hill.

Christa wrote us and explained why Mrs. Fickbohm should be Teacher of the Week:

I am writing this as a parent of a very head strong little girl. Last year was my daughter's first year of school and I was extremely worried about how it was going to go for her. She had a very difficult time learning new information no matter how I introduced it to her. She struggled to retain much of anything. I had a feeling I was going to hear from her teacher on a daily basis and not in a good way. As the year progressed I was pleased that her behavior was not an issue and she enjoyed participating. Mrs. Fickbohm along with Mrs. Frienheit took the time to get to know Addy and loved her for her unique and busy personality. She was not a fan of nap time and they even used that time to work on sight words with her. She wasn't really reading but loved every second she was at school. They kept working with her and then all of a sudden in mid February my little girl was reading. She took off and continued to grow for the remainder of the year ending above grade level.  This only happened because of all of the time and attention Ms. Fickbohm gave to Addy. Not only that but she also instilled the love of learning which will be in her heart for hopefully all of her days. P.S. Addison really begged me to submit this last year...I am slightly behind :)"
