Teacher of The Week Nominated With Heartwarming Letter From Her Kids
Getting to make the Teacher of The Week phone call is one of the most rewarding things we get to do every week. Every single call is so special and unique, and this week's was no different.
This week we got to make a call to not only an amazing teacher, but an incredible parent. Nominated by one of her kids, this week's teacher truly shows what it means to go above and beyond.
Congratulations to homeschool teacher Kimberly Jimenez. She was nominated by her daughter Ariel Jimenez and the letter reads -
Kimberly Jimenez is my and my brother's mom. Even though I go full time to school, my brother does hybrid. Meaning he is remote and goes to school 2 days a week. Kimberly has an illness that is called Chiari Malformation. She has been strong and worked with my brother and me every day though. I think she does a good job since we lost our father March 2019. He is with God. Kimberly even took my brother out of school and homeschooled him the beginning of this year because he was struggling. She never lets us down and is always there for us. My brother did pass 6th grade right before school started with good grades! This is why I feel she should be nominated.
When we made the call to Kimberly, we got to hear her tell Ariel she was on the phone with us and she was 97ZOK's Teacher of The Week. It was such a special moment. Kimberly got a delivery of a beautiful floral arrangement from Broadway Florist and a delicious bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
Congrats again Kimberly, it's very well deserved.
