Congratulations to Katie Barone from IB Conklin in Rockford

An anonymous mom nominated Katie, she writes,

Mrs. Barone is a 2nd-grade teacher at IB Conklin. She had my son Maddox as a first-year teacher 4 years ago. She helped my son who struggles both academically and socially grow so much that school year. She goes above and beyond for her students from providing snacks to kids who are hungry or just a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on!

She had a classroom that was a safe and welcoming environment. Her past students still stop by to get a hug from her and their faces light up from such a small jester that’s a testament to the impact she has made on her students! This school year she has my youngest daughter and I can’t wait to see how she impacts her life and helps shape her future. We are so grateful for Mrs. Barone and we can’t thank her enough for what she does for not only her students but all the students at IB Conklin.
