The 10 Best Banned Illinois License Plates

Getting a personalized license plate requires thought, and a little bit of cleverness. Sometimes, the plates are too clever.

The state of Illinois put together a list of banned license plate names. Some are pretty inventive, others are gross, and a few are downright hilarious.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the Illinois Secretary of State office calls it the "Special Plate Inhibit List" and there are almost 5,000 names, numbers and combinations of both that are on the dreaded list.
