For 14 years, this teacher has been inspiring students, parents, and families all around the Stateline.  The energy, respect, and love her students radiate are true reflections of their 4th grade teacher.  We couldn't be more excited to celebrate her this week!

Congratulations Rachel Shippert from Spring Creek Elementary in Rockford, Illinois.

Kelley Woodsmall nominated Rachel Shippert.  She writes,

"Every day my daughter comes home from school and gives me the full rundown of life as a fourth grader — the latest “tea,” what happened at recess, what new things they’re learning, and whether her day was amazing or a little tough.

 

But no matter how her day goes, one thing never changes: she always says, “I just love my teacher!”"

"Mrs. Shippert has truly made a lasting impact on her students. My daughter often tells me how, every day during snack time, Mrs. Shippert reads to the class — something they all look forward to. She describes her as “so beautiful,” “full of positive energy,” and someone who “smiles, laughs, and jokes with us.” The class especially loves when she joins in on the latest “6–7 trend” — it always makes them giggle.

 

These may seem like small moments, but they’re the ones that make school feel special. Mrs. Shippert creates a classroom filled with warmth, joy, and connection — and that’s why she deserves to be recognized as Teacher of the Week."

Again, congratulations to Rachel Shippert for being our Teacher of the Week for the brand-new school year.  As Teacher of the Week, Rachel was surprised with a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes, money to spend at WM Day Spa Salon, and lunch courtesy of Redd Insurance Group.
