Two Former IceHogs Face Off in Stanley Cup Finals
If you're a Rockford IceHogs fan and are enjoying the 2020 Stanley Cup Finals, a couple of names make look familiar to you.
Former IceHogs Jan Rutta and Stephen Johns are squaring off against one another to become the 26th alum to hoist the cup and hockey's ultimate prize.
Rutta, 30 was with the Hogs from 2018-19 playing in eight games earing a goal and three assists for four points before making his way to Tampa Bay on January 11th.
From 2013-15, Johns 28, skated in Rockford for two seasons where he earned 26 points (five goals, 21 assists) in 58 games. He also appeared in eight Calder Cup Playoff games in 2015, garnering three goals, four assists.
The series is currently tied at 1-1 with Game 3 this Wednesday the 23rd at 7p.
