Wisconsin City Named Most Affordable Lakefront Vacation Spot in the U.S.
Love lakeside vibes but hate the price tag? You don't have to fly to the coast, just point your car toward this Wisconsin destination.
There's something magical about summer by the lake: sunshine, waves, grilled food, and the kind of joy you can only get when your toes are in sand and your phone is somewhere far, far away. And if you're trying to plan a weekend escape without gut-punching your bank account, you're in luck.
Milwaukee just topped the list of most affordable lakefront destinations in the entire country.

Music, Sports, and Food... Milwaukee Delivers
Here's why I really love Milwaukee: the music, the sports (Wrigley North), and the food. From massive events like Summerfest to smaller lakefront concerts, there's always something going on. Add in a Brewers game (when the Cubs visit), a walk through the Milwaukee Art Museum, or a stop at a farmers market, and you've got a weekend worth repeating.
Nine Beaches, One Perfect Weekend
Milwaukee's got nine beaches on Lake Michigan, including a full-blown state park. It's a weekend road trip that gives you summer memories without emptying your wallet.
Pack a cooler. Grab the sunscreen. Milwaukee is calling.
