You Probably Live in This Illinois City With The Most DUI Arrests
A brand new survey shows more drunk driving arrests are happening in Illinois.
The Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists just published their annual survey and Rockford is at the top of the dubious list.
Rockford along with Carol Stream shared the top spot in the state with 464 DUI arrests in 2015. That's up nearly 21% from 2014 when there were 384 DUI arrests in the Forest City.
Depending on how you look at it, this is either a very good or very bad thing for Rockford.
On one hand, it's good because dangerous motorists are being taken off the road by a police force that is on top of what could be a bad situation. On the other, it's not, because the resulting arrests show there's a drinking and driving problem in Rockford.
Other cities in the Rockford area that landed on the list, were Loves Park (#16) and Belvidere (#25) with 198 and 166 DUI arrests respectively.
