Amazon Just Ordered ‘A League Of Their Own’ Reboot TV Series

Get ready Rockford, for a fresh look at Penny Marshall's 1992 film. The new approach will be in the form of an hourlong series.

Amazon has tapped co-creators, Abbi Jacobson (Broad City), who also stars and Will Graham (Mozart in the Jungle) and Sony Pictures TV, for a new look at the story of our very own Rockford Peaches and the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League

Where this hourlong TV series will differ from Penny Marshall's film is time spent taking a deeper look at race and sexuality, including more of the women's time off the field.

A League of Their Own, the TV series, also stars: Abbi Jacobson, Chanté Adams, D’Arcy Carden, and Gbemisola Ikumelo.
