Construction has begun on a new 3800-seat stadium. A new home for Snapper's baseball and to many youth, educational and cultural events.

"If you build it, they will come" is one of the most famous lines in baseball movie history. What was whispered in the movie Field of Dreams, is the hope of Beloit's Riverbend Stadium Authority and their new $35 million facility.

The new state-of-the-art facility between the Rock River and Beloit Transfer Facility near the Beloit City Hall building, and just north of Shirland Avenue has some pretty impressive attributes. A stadium club that holds more than 300 people that will remain open year round. There will be outdoor group areas in left field and right field with a kid's playground and inflatable area planned for the outfield concourse. The concourse wraps all the way around the field with the main gate in center field. The stadium will also be constructed with astroturf which  will allow for many non-baseball events.
