Hard Rock Rockford’s Temporary Casino Is Ready to Open…If They Can Conquer One Last Hurdle
When I first heard that Rockford's temporary casino that is getting set up inside the former Giovanni's space on Bell School Road was hiring, I felt a mix of emotions. First, I was a bit excited because we are another step closer to Hard Rock Rockford actually happening. Secondly, I feared this will be yet another thing held up in Rockford due to the lack of employees, and that might actually be the case.
Hard Rock Rockford's 'Opening Act' Has One Hurdle to Conquer Before Opening
Rockford area residents have responded favorably to Hard Rock Rockford's call for new employees, a.k.a., band members, but more are still needed.
A recent Rockford Register Star article quotes Dawn Reynolds-Pettit, Hard Rock International regional vice president for human resources, as saying;
"There's the regulatory side and we want to make sure we are doing everything in compliance. We want to make sure all our new band members have the opportunity to be onboarded and trained, so when we open it’s the best experience for our guests and the best experience for our team members.
When the renovation started on Rockford's temporary casino site, the timeframe they were gunning for to open was the end of October, and so far, it's not far off. Dawn Reynolds-Pettit also told the RRStar;
The timeline is pretty much where we expected the timeline to be and you will see more information about specifics about opening dates coming out shortly.
Hooray!
