Here’s How to Avoid a Parking Headache at City Market Tonight

Rockford's favorite Friday night activity, City Market, is back tonight, avoid parking stress with these tips.

City Market is one of the best parts of downtown Rockford. It's so awesome to see such a giant crowd of Rockfordians packed on Water street enjoying local food, music and vendors.

But, there's one problem with such a successful event, parking.

If you can walk to the market that's your best bet, but if you need to drive, don't attempt to park too close to the actual market, instead utilize the free trolley and the Rockford Mass Transit District bus system.

The trolley runs from 3:30 p.m. until 11:25 p.m. and makes stops at nine different downtown locations. You can get the full schedule here.
