A wall post will not protect your privacy.

For those of you who have succumbed to the Facebook Privacy Policy wall post that has filled up your news feed the past few days, please stop. It's a scam.

This isn't the first time we've seen this message before but here's the thing, a wall post can't protect your privacy. There is nothing legal about any single post you might put on your Facebook wall.

"Facebook users cannot retroactively negate any of the privacy or copyright terms they agreed to when they signed up for their accounts, nor can they unilaterally alter or contradict any new privacy or copyright terms instituted by Facebook, simply by posting a contrary legal notice on their Facebook walls."

The fact that so many people are posting this on their walls says a lot about how people feel about Facebook; people still don't trust the platform.  If you do have some serious concerns about your privacy on Facebook, there are several things you can do to protect yourself and you can find that info here.
