Illinois Lottery officials admitted that there was a major was a goof up today for some people who tried to purchase lottery tickets on Tuesday.

If you play the Illinois Lottery Pick 3 or Pick 4 games, you may have missed out on your chance to win, if you tried to purchase tickets for Tuesday's midday drawings. The problem is that lottery players were unable to purchase tickets at many retail locations late this morning into early afternoon.

The Illinois Lottery issued this statement:

We are aware that Pick 3 and Pick 4 purchases are unavailable in retail at this time. We apologize to our players for the inconvenience. We are working diligently to resolve this issue. Today's midday draw will still take place at 12:40 p.m. as planned as tickets have already been purchased.

NBC5 reports that Pick 3 and Pick 4 tickets were still available online and on the Illinois Lottery's mobile app,

The drawings for both the Pick 3 and Pick 4 went on as scheduled.
