When it comes to pricey NFL games, Illinois fans don’t hesitate to splurge.

When it comes to football, we don't mess around.  When it comes to the Chicago Bears?  We're down... bad.

A new study shows how much we're willing to shell out just to see our favorite sports team in person.  Personally, I'm not a sports fan, but I wouldn't pay more than $200 for a single seat at a Bears game.  Even that's pushing it, though, because they'd probably end up being nosebleed seats.

There are five teams that we're totally cool dropping more on:

  • Denver Broncos
  • Los Angeles Rams
  • Los Angeles Chargers
  • Buffalo Bills

Millennials are the biggest spenders, willing to drop $297 per ticket, while Gen X isn't far behind with $217.  Gen Z, though... the youngest generation on the study, still willing to spend $211.  That's pretty interesting considering Gen Z is just starting out in the workforce!  They're broke but happy, right?!  Baby Boomers, though?  Yeah, they're frugal with their money.  That's probably why they're the richest!  Only $98 is how much they're paying for an NFL ticket.

I guess the Chicago Bears prove once again that Illinois doesn't take game day lightly if we're out here dropping cash like it's nothing.  Whether it's to get a glimpse of the team, or get in to taste of the iconic foods at the stadium, we're paying... a lot.
