I would much prefer to be too hot than too cold. Most say,

You can always put on more clothes too stay warm, there's only so much you can take off to stay cool.

Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't matter how many layers I put on, once the temp is down to single digits, nothing can keep me warm.

There are plenty of ways to stay cool on hot days and according to the latest long-range forecast, Illinois and the rest of the country better start making plans to get to Illinois' cleanest swimming lake, the state's largest waterpark, or a public pool, because it's quite likely a very hot summer lies ahead.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) released a new long-range weather outlook Thursday  (6/22/23) that favors above-average temperatures for basically the entire United States.

Between July and September, all but a few states have between a 33% and 70% chance of a hotter-than-normal summer.

The highest chance for heat is in Arizona — which is already hot on even a normal summer day. The average high in Phoenix in July is 106 degrees.
