Is This How Rockford Should Fix Their Pothole Problem? [NSFW PHOTOS]

One of the biggest complaints Rockfordians have is that there are too many potholes. Perhaps some road art could do the trick.

A very specific type of road art. An outline of...aahem...male genitalia...around the pothole.

An anonymous artist, who goes by the street name, "Wanksy", was tired of all the potholes in Greater Manchester, England, so he decided to draw attention to them by drawing male genitalia around it.

This is pretty hilarious, right? It turns out that Wanksy isn't doing it just for laughs; he's actually on a legitimate mission to get them fixed after several friends damaged vehicles and even ended up hospitalized after hitting them on a bicycles.

And even though the spray paint that Wanksy uses washes off within a couple of weeks, city officials obviously aren't too impressed; saying it's insulting to residents.  That may be true but it seems to be a pretty effective method. Years-old potholes have been filled within 48 hours.

When has a pothole in Rockford ever filled within 48 hours? What if we started a GoFundMe account to raise money to bring Wanksy to the Forest City? Once the potholes are fixed, we can work on shortening the length of time you're waiting at a red light on State Street.
