McDonald's is opening a secret spin-off restaurant concept called 'CosMc's' in the Chicagoland area, but details are extremely limited at this time.

From what I saw on TikTok already, CosMc's is set to open in Bolingbrook, Illinois very soon, right on the border of Bolingbrook and Naperville.

There looks to be four drive-thru lanes - maybe a drive-thru only location?

What does the name 'CosMc's' mean?

CosMc is actually named after a long forgotten six-armed space character who was featured in McDonald's advertisements in the 80's and 90's.  The alien moves from outer space after discovering fries and burgers at McDonald's.  Another nostalgic past time, like Grimace!

Here's what the building looks like from the street view.  Looks super cool!

CosMc's will "focus heavily on drinks such as coffee, iced teas, lemonades, frozen beverages and a range of energy drinks known as signature galactic boosts." [foxbusiness]

Honestly, the menu does resemble a cross between Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts.

What's really unique about CosMc's is that they'll have their own color scheme; navy blue and yellow and logo separate from McDonald's itself.

Nobody really knows what the inside of the restaurant looks like yet or when they'll open, but know the first location is opening at 285 N. Weber Road in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
