After news dropped that Pho 27 closed up shop and the owners went into retirement, another Asian restaurant announced they're opening very soon in Rockford.

It's been a bittersweet past few weeks in Rockford.  First, Disco Chicken opened to the public in downtown Rockford with a delicious food and drink menu, gorgeous rooftop views, and friendly staff.  Then, Pho 27 announced they've closed permanently.

Now, Sticky Rice Bites reveals they'll be opening in the former Pho 27 location soon.

COMING SOON: New Asian Restaurant Opening In Rockford

Sticky Rice Bites is opening near the strip mall where Oscar's and Valli Produce are located.  According to their TikTok account, they've been busy at work giving the interior a facelift, getting the kitchen prepared for opening day, and many of their friends and family were able to taste test some of the drinks and dishes already.

I've said time and time again that I'm a sucker for Asian food because I'm half Laos.

Anytime a new Asian restaurant comes to town, you know I'll be one of the first in the door!  So I really can't wait for Sticky Rice Bites to open!

Man.... I am manifesting they let me taste test the entire menu before opening day.  Sticky Rice Bites, if you're reading this, let's make TikTok content together!

There's no official opening day yet, but don't worry.  I'll give you all those details as soon as I find out.  In the meantime, what do you hope they'll have on their menu?

I'm hoping sweet sausage, a variety of teas (like the ones pictured above), and tons of sticky rice.  If there's no sticky rice I will be shocked haha.
