Right now, the foundation is looking for someone in the Rockford area to grant a wish, and you might be the connection that makes it happen.
The Heart Behind Nik’s Wish
Nikolas Ritschel was just shy of 18 when cancer changed his life. Thanks to Make-A-Wish, he experienced a moment of happiness that gave him strength. But when he learned that kids over 17 don’t qualify for such wishes, he decided that had to change.
Before he passed away in 2012, Nik made it clear—young adults fighting cancer deserve a chance to smile, too. His wish turned into Nik’s Wish, a foundation that grants wishes for 18 to 24-year-olds in the toughest battles of their lives.
Someone in Rockford Needs a Wish
Nik’s Wish has made dreams come true for young fighters across the country, but right now, they are searching for someone right here in Rockford. If you know a young adult battling cancer who could use a life-brightening experience, now is the time to act.
