Officer Eric Thurmond Will Be Moving Out of ROCK House

After news circulated regarding one of Rockford Police's most recognized faces being placed on administrative leave, more information has been released.

Officer Eric Thurmond has been on administrative leave for four months, according to WIFR.com, in regards to an investigation of an incident in late May.

Officer Thurmond has been on paid administrative leave for four months. But when asked why, the spokesperson said the department cannot comment because it's personnel related.

The report confirms Officer Thurmond will no longer be the live-in police officer at ROCK House on 15th Street, with no transition date specified.
