In the last few days three threats have been made to schools in the Stateline, and although all responsible students have been arrested, the frequency of situations like this happening makes me incredibly MAD.

Last Friday a 16-year-old Guilford High School student was arrested for making a threat to the school, Kennedy Middle School in Rockford went on lockdown yesterday, and a 15-year-old from Oregon High School was also arrested yesterday for making threats to a school on Snapchat.

According to mystateline.com;

Students at David L. Rahn Jr. High in Mt. Morris notified school staff on Wednesday of the post discussed on Snapchat Tuesday night from an Oregon High School student.

The discussion alluded to a threat of a school shooting by the student.

Police say based on their investigation, there is not an immediate threat to students or staff.

The 15-year-old male student was taken into limited custody for the Offense of Disorderly Conduct and released into his parent’s custody.

I can't for the life of me understand why this keeps happening. Are kids today really that messed up that they think it's funny to make threats like these...to see people scared? Do they really hate school that much that they want to make other people miserable? Do parents really not pay enough attention to the well being of their children? Whatever the case may be, it needs to stop, NOW.
