5 Exciting Reasons to Visit Stroll on State in Rockford
The Stroll on State Parade
Parade starts at 2pm! Get a spot early because it'll be packed all along E. State Street. Did you know we have one of the biggest and best holiday festivals in the Midwest?!
Run the Dasher Dash 5K at noon
For all you runners out there, don't miss the Dasher Dash 5K at noon! Registration ends on Friday, November 29th.
The race will start and finish near Beattie Park, run across the Rock River, down East State Street, and end at Memorial Hall! There will be a fun costume contest for participants and a post-race party with hot chocolate and s'mores to keep the celebration going.
Before the Dasher Dash 5K race starts, drop off an unwrapped toy at Beattie Park (near 100 Park Avenue, Rockford) between 10:00am to 12:00pm. All toys will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Rockford!
Every donor will receive a free instant Holiday Instant ticket while supplies last, thanks to the Illinois Lottery.
It's Small Business Saturday
Support local businesses as you get all your holiday shopping done. You could go to big box stores, but finding local gifts is totally better! Tons of local shops downtown to visit, plus food trucks, and more.
Tons of live music/performances to see
As you walk through Stroll on State, you'll find tons of live music throughout the event.
The Silver Bell Stage will have all kinds of performances you don't want to miss. Here's a list of the full lineup on November 30th!
Stroll on State Fireworks Display
At 8:30pm, you can't miss the beautiful fireworks display in the sky!
There will be so much more to do and see, including sending letters to the North Pole, ice skating, and photo opportunities throughout the festival.
