Rockford's Favorite Moments At The BMO Besides Concerts

Besides concerts, some of Rockford's favorite moments at the BMO Harris Bank Center.

The BMO Harris Bank Center (aka Rockford MetroCentre) is celebrating its 40th anniversary on January 31st. Unfortunately, there can not be a big party for the occasion. Hopefully, later this year. In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to look back at some of the great memories of our special arena.

I wanted to find out what the favorite BMO memories from 96.7 The Eagle listeners. Last week, I asked on The Eagle Facebook page. To find out what they thought, HERE.

Pretty much everyone went with concerts. I totally understand that because they are some much fun and the artists that have performed there are unbelievable. Plus, there have been thousands of shows in the building.

There is also a long history of other events held in the arena. So, I went back to Facebook this week and asked the question, "Besides concerts, favorite moment. Here's what they had to say.

"Brett Myhres... I worked for the Rockford Lightning back in the 2004-05 season, and for some reason we hated the coach of the Great Lakes Storm, Russ Bergman so much that t-shirts were made telling him that he sucks for one game."

There is a box in my basement full of ticket stubs from most of the concerts, games, and events I have been to in my life. I was able to find some from the BMO.
