Rockford’s Granite City Brewery Calms Restaurant Closing Concerns
The subject of swirling rumors regarding the future of Granite City not only in Rockford but as a whole seemed to be quelled for the time being.
Earlier this week, I speculated on how much longer Granite City would be around.
Based on the rash of Granite City restaurant closings I have noticed in the midwest, I was concerned we might be seeing the end of the Rockford restaurant too.
Thankfully, Brian Androwich, General Manager at Granite City Brewery in Rockford, reached out to calm any talk:
We indeed closed 7 locations for various reason but Rockford's location is not planning to go anywhere. We just released a new menu, were actively seeking non-profit organizations to work within the community to give back and currently brewing a Peanut Butter & Jelly Ale we are releasing on December 5th, 2019. Our holiday bonus Gift Cards are in full swing & we are taking reservations for our Thanksgiving Dinner. Hopefully, this will burn out any rumors swirling around the Stateline.
The new Granite City Brewery menu is a good sign, and I'll definitely try a Peanut Butter & Jelly Ale anytime.
