The Salvation Army of Winnebago County will be sending its Bell Ringers to the CherryVale Mall at the end of this month to celebrate Christmas In July, and there's an even bigger reason to donate to the campaign this year.

This July bells will be ringing specifically to fund the Salvation Army's Women's Restorative Justice Program that provides transitional housing and support for recently incarcerated and/or addicted women and their children. According to mystateline.com, the program lost over $100,000 in funding this year due to budget cuts, but the Salvation Army has recently been blessed with a pledge to match every donation received this Christmas In July, up to $25,000, from an anonymous donor in Rockford.

Salvation Army Bell Ringers will be out at CherryVale Mall from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27  collecting money for the match challenge, but the Army needs more volunteers to get the job done.

If you have a few hours free to ring bells that weekend, please go to registertoring.com right now to sign up, or call The Salvation Army of Winnebago County at (815) 708-6433.

Thank you!
