Teacher of the Week: Miss Dunker from Zion Lutheran School

Congrats to 97 ZOK’s new Teacher of the Week, Miss Dunker from Zion Lutheran School.

Miss Dunker scored delicious cupcakes from Sugar Jones, beautiful flowers from Broadway Florist and $50 in services from Xeno Salon.

The winning nomination came from Tammy Schultz. Tammy writes:

Where do I even begin to start......Miss Dunker.... she gives 110% to her kid’s. She is my daughter’s preschool teacher.

I remember one day earlier this year when my daughter wasn't feeling well. I picked her up at school and we came home to snuggle on the couch and I told her that she smelled like Miss Dunker (her perfume). I knew then that she had sat with my daughter and snuggled with her.

That meant the world to me! She took care of my daughter for me until I could get there.

Another thing she is instrumental in is having a preschool dinner once a month. She doesn't do it alone but like I said she is instrumental in making it happen. She does a lot of behind the scenes work that's on her own time. She does it because she loves the kids.

She works so hard and gives so much to the kids and families. I could go on and on.  Does that set her apart from any other teacher? Maybe not, but to my family, she forever has a place in our hearts. She means the world to us. When we go around the table at Thanksgiving to say what we are thankful for, I always include my daughter’s teachers and school. They are a true blessing to us."
