Teacher of the Week: Mr. Manning, Roscoe Middle School

I had the honor of delivering the goodies this week from Sugar Jones and Broadway Florist for 97ZOK's Teacher of the Week.

This week's winner was Ehren Manning at Roscoe Middle School. Based on the few minutes I spent with Mr. Manning, the honor was well deserved.

Matt Hepner is a student at Roscoe Middle School and his mother, Dawn nominated Mr. Manning for the award. She wrote:

Mr. Manning's classroom is full of outstanding kids who are full of creativity and intelligence. They also struggle with various disabilities. My son Matt is autistic and he has done so well with Mr. Manning its just amazing. This teacher specializes each child's needs to help them learn and grow and most importantly feeling successful. During conferences he has created a special report card so that parents can truly get an understanding of where their kids are. I can't express to you the amount of time he gives to our kids and how much work it involves for each one and if something doesn't work, he keeps trying until he finds something that does. He has a wonderful perspective on what our kids are capable of, he gets it,he sees their value, their ability. Not their disability. And he's in the process of getting his second Masters degree. Our family feels blessed that we have this outstanding teacher in Matt's life. Please consider him for this honor. Thank you"
