Congratulations to Mr. May from Boylan High School. He is 97ZOK's Teacher of the Week.

May and his class made headlines locally when with the help of a 3D printer made a prosthetic for a young girl, Kylie Wicker who was born without fingers.

Her mother, Sharon Wicker writes:

I'm not a student. I am a mother of a 9yr old daughter who was born without fingers on her left hand. Long story short. Mr. Bud May and his students graciously said yes to helping us out. They are making my daughter a prosthetic hand with their 3d printer! Mr. May deserves more than teacher of the week in my eyes. Not only is he doing something huge for my daughter, he is teaching his students to give back to the community and giving them the chance to be a part of something big! More like "Class" of the week rather than "Teacher" of the week! They all deserve a cupcake ;)

Bud May won flowers from Broadway Florist, cupcakes from Sugar Jones, and is also in the running to win a notebook tablet combo from PC Tech 2 U.

We also invited his class to the 97ZOK studios to meet the original Australian Idol, Guy Sebastian and he performed for the students.
