Teacher of the Week: Mr. Young, Oregon High School

Congratulations to Mr. Young from Oregon High School. He is 97ZOK's Teacher of the Week.

Mr. Young is the proud recipient of flowers from Broadway Florist and cupcakes from Sugar Jones. He is also in the running for a tablet/notebook combo from PC Tech 2 U that will be given away at the end of the school year.

This week's winning nomination came from Ben McCasky-Feazel.

Ben writes:

Mr. Young was one of the most challenging teachers I had in high school. He always tried to make us think beyond the obvious and explore our innermost thoughts and logic. Not only did he greatly improve my writing skills but he challenged my intellect with philosophy. My analytical thinking and problem solving ability matured while in his class. I honestly would get so mad and frustrated. But I realized he was doing it for my benefit. I am at SIU-Carbondale and I can attribute my successful first semester to Mr John Young and the English boot camp he put me through last year. Thank you Mr Young!"
