Teacher of the Week: Ms. Hannel from Rockton Grade School
A brand new teacher of the week was announced this morning, Ms. Hannel from Rockton Grade School.
Hannel won flowers from Broadway Florist, a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes and a gift certificate from Oriental Trading Company.
The nomination came in from one of Hannel's first grade students, Nolan Seykora and his mother, Jenny:
She’s awesome! Her room looks so cool because it’s like you are in a circus tent and she’s so pretty! She’s very nice because she smiles at us every day!” from: Nolan, 6 years old
From a parent standpoint and someone that is in education, she’s the whole package. She’s not only teaching children about academics but teaching their hearts too! She runs an inclusive classroom that is built upon equity, trust and kindness. These are skills that are needed in life just as much as math and reading.
