The Norwegian Has A Big Thank You for Rockford
This pandemic SUCKS and is ruining so much of the fun, and the businesses, that we love in Rockford.
COVID has forced many local restaurants, bars, and stores to permanently close, while countless others have had to revamp the entire way they operate just to stay afloat, and that is exactly what The Norwegian in Rockford has done.
On Friday, (11/6), The Norwegian at 1402 N Main St. in Rockford reopened their business as a market/shop, and although carryout food items are still available certain times and days of the week, the indoor dining/restaurant aspect of their business has come to an end.
Creating and opening a "new" business is a gamble during trying times like these, but so far it looks like it's paying off for The Norwegian. (YAY!)
On Saturday posted this "thank you" message to the Rockford community on Facebook;
Rockford: thank you so much for a great first day back here at The N. We are speechless (& already low on stock). Looks like we’ll be spending the next several days making more soups, sweets, sauces, & more.Carry-out is still available from 9 am to 7 pm—Thursday through Sunday— by ordering from our to go counter or by calling 815-329-6191. The menu is up at thenorwegian.com. You’re still welcome to pick up your order & dine on our patio.
