If you've ever wanted a job as an elf during Christmastime, you should consider volunteering for this year's Stroll on State.

If you've attended Stroll on State, then you know just how magical of a time it is.

You bundle up, pack the family in the car, and head downtown for some ultimate Christmas fun. But imagine being a part of the fun that is creating all of the magic at Stroll on State. You'd get to be a real-life elf!

GoRockford's website details -

Santa's Workshop is a very important place to volunteer - it's where all of the magic happens, behind the scenes! We need you to sign up to help create new, and repair old Stroll on State decorations. It doesn't matter if you are artistic or have great carpentry skills - we literally have a job for everyone and will find the right fit for you. If you do have a specialty skill - please let us know, we would love to put your talents to good use!

The website says that volunteers between 12 and 15 years old are welcome, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers that are 16-17 years old are allowed and welcome but must have a signed waiver by parent or guardian.

So it's something you can do with the whole family if you'd like. It's a really great and fun way to give back to your community. Then when you attend Stroll on State you'll know you were a part of the Christmas cheer.
