Honestly, I've called this yard game two different things throughout my life. At first, I called it cornhole. I played it around 7 years old at a friend's neighborhood party and was pretty mindblown at the game. Then once I got older and started turning the game into a drinking activity, I heard people calling it bags.

So, cornhole? Bags? What is it?

There's only one way to find out. It's not Googling it, it's not doing extensive research. It's way simpler than that. Ask Facebook.

So, let's break down the responses. Spoiler alert - they're amazing.

Since Facebook, our trusted source didn't give us a clear-cut answer. I say we try another incredibly reliable source, Wikipedia.

According to the official Wikipedia page "Cornhole" -

Cornhole (also known regionally as bags, sack toss, or bean bag toss) is a lawn game in which players take turns throwing 16 ounce bags of corn kernels at a raised platform (board) with a hole in the far end.

So I guess that means the OFFICIAL name is Cornhole and the nickname is bags. And of course all the other things Rockford residents said.

There's one thing I do know for sure. If you're ever channel surfing and you land on a Cornhole tournament. Watch it. They have some SERIOUS skills. It feels like they literally never miss the hole.
