According to Canada's University of Alberta, a compound found in red wine, resveratrol, might boost your heart rate and amp up your muscle performance, which you know, also happens when you work out.

The lead researcher, Jason Dyck, says this is actually most beneficial for people who can't exercise, maybe an illness or an injury, wine could be the answer.

I'm totally capable of running, but this weekend I might just stick with the Pinot Noir.
