I miss concerts SO MUCH.

With Summer right around the corner and vaccination rates going up, outdoor concerts are actually happening. We heard about Wrigley Field's announcement. They revealed their schedule for this Summer which mainly includes a lot of rescheduled shows.

I've never been to a concert at Wrigley, but almost every Summer I try and see a concert at Ravinia in Highland Park. They have the most incredible outdoor concert series they put on every Summer and the lineup is always filled with a wide range of big names.

2020 - where festivals went to die. Ravinia has been open since 1904 and 2020 was the first time in a WHILE they've had to shut down. The last time Ravinia had to shut down was during The Great Depression from 1932-1935. That just shows how serious the pandemic got last year.

But a year later, with more and more people getting vaccinated and numbers slowly going down, we can finally enjoy some live music again.

So how do concerts look in a pandemic life? Ravinia's website details -

All of our performances will take place outside in our open-air Pavilion, with reserved-in-advance, distanced seating offered in the Pavilion, on the Lawn, and al fresco at our dining spaces. There will be reduced audience capacity and reduced numbers of artists onstage at all concerts this season to maintain a healthy environment for all.

Their full lineup will be announced in late April along with the protocols for attendance.

You can keep up to date with their announcements on their website.
