It starts out fun but it's gets awkward real quick.

Elite Daily got dads and daughters together for a simple experiment, have each of them hand each other their phone and let them go through and read some of the text messages while on camera.

Sounds simple enough, right? But if you've ever been in high school you know what it's like to have a parent looking through your stuff. You know what I mean, it's gonna get weird, and it's gonna get weird quick.

That's what happened in the video. The highlight though? One of the dads realizing mid-sentence what the eggplant emoji means.
