The Salvation Army kicks off it's annual Koats 4 Kids drive this weekend. They're trying something new this year.

Get busy going through the closets in your home and gathering the coats, hats, mittens and gloves that your children have outgrown and throw them in your car. It's time to bring donate them to Koats 4 Kids. The annual drive takes place the first two weekends of October. This year, instead of the barrels, collection will take place at Cherryvale Mall. The Salvation Army will have a truck parked at the mall between the entrance to JCPenny and the former Bergner's store, according to wifr.com.

Koats 4 Kids drive is Fridays and Saturdays 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
