Local Pet Adoption Event Will Be Rockford’s Most Unique Ever

Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary has an incredibly fun night planned for this Saturday at District Bar & Grill on State St. in downtown Rockford.

There is perhaps no more misunderstood type of dog than a pitbull. October is Pitbull Awareness Month, and Noah's Ark has put together a perfect party to celebrate these beautiful dogs. Saturday, October 20 from 4 - 8 p.m. at District Bar & Grill, it's the runway event you'll never forget, Project Pretty Pittie. Pitbulls and other adorable mutts will be working the runway escorted by Rockford Police Officers. The night also includes a K9 demonstration, a 50/50 drawing, a silent auction and a puppy kissing booth.

Tickets only $5 in advance and can be purchased at Noah's Ark (111 N. First St., Rockford) or online. The ticket cost is $7 at the door. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the event will go towards a Rockford Police Department K9.
