Illinois and 28 other states are part of this recall due to the potential presence of glass pieces in 8 ounce containers, according to the manufacturer.

According to Star Snacks Co.the possible dangerous presence of glass is in the 8 oz. canisters of Southern Grove Cashew Halves and Pieces with Sea Salt. The recall was put into place after consumers who bought the canisters reported finding glass, according to ksdk.com. There have not been any reported injuries and all of the product has been removed from stores.

The recalled cashews were packaged with the UPC code 041498179366, and best-by dates of 11/27/18 and 11/28/18 printed on the bottom of the can.
