Rumor Has It Illinois’ Favorite Chicken Restaurant Is Coming To Rockford

There has been a lot of talk about different restaurants and shops that need to come to Rockford.  Could Illinois' favorite chicken restaurant open in Rockford soon?

Over the last year, we have seen so many businesses close in Rockford from Furry Babies at CherryVale Mall, to Walgreens in downtown Rockford, and even Stone Eagle Tavern on Rockford's east side.  Have no fear, though.  Plenty of businesses are opening around the Stateline this year, too!

Culture Crunch is opening over by Valli Produce and Party City on Rockford's east side at 5846 E. State Street and Kung Fu Tea is opening at 6915 E. State Street next to Primetime Audio Video.

Plus, there has been plenty of talk about Boot Barn moving into the former Joann Fabrics location.  According to company, Boot Barn is expected to open in March!

Now, everyone has been wondering if Illinois' favorite chicken restaurant is opening at some point in Rockford.

I saw my friend's Facebook story say, "Rumor has it one of these bad boys are coming to Rockford" and we both heard it could be moving into the former Stone Eagle location.

Rumor Has It Raising Cane's Is Coming To Rockford By 2025

Is it true?  I didn't expect to find this when I Googled "Raising Cane's Rockford Illinois"

Under a post from twelve years ago on Raising Cane's Facebook page, this message caught my attention...

"WE'LL SEE YOU IN ROCKFORD, IL IN 2025!" THERE'S HOPE!!!

Could this mean Raising Cane's is actually coming to Rockford?

If anyone has info on this and can confirm, we need details so I can stop driving to DeKalb and wasting half a tank of gas lol.

Here's what we're missing out on in Rockford: Crispy chicken fingers... the famous Cane's sauce... on Texas Toast.  Don't forget the coleslaw!
