Ever since I was young, I've loved watching boxing, MMA, and wrestling.  After going to the Fight or Flight Classic in Rochelle back in February, I'm excited to see a boxing classic coming to Rockford!

Premier Boxing Event Kicking Off This Weekend in Downtown Rockford

The third annual Rockford Boxing Classic will take place at 4:00pm on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Rockford City Market pavilion. This event is ADMISSION-FREE and for all-ages.  It'll feature some of the Midwest's top amateur boxers.

There will be a 50/50 raffle, music, local food and beverages, and proceeds from the Rockford Boxing Classic will benefit the nonprofit Rockford Patriots Boxing Club, which is just a few blocks away from City Market.

One of the coolest parts about this event:  Amateur youth, police officers, and firefighters compete for boxing pride.

Oh yeah, we already know downtown will be packed!
