Reading things like this makes me MAD. We are in the middle of a worldwide health crisis, people are scared, and scammers still have to be jerks. I know I shouldn't be surprised by this, but dang, can't they have a little humanity for once?!?!

Let's get back to the point, the police department in Thomaston, Maine issued a warning earlier this week regarding a new text scam involving COVID-19, and I think we all need to be aware of it:

By now we should all know that clicking a text link from an unknown source is never a good idea, but I totally get why people are falling for it and clicking. Seeing a text like this will out your emotions in automatic panic mode, but please promise me you'll take a breath and think for a moment if you receive one. As the Thomaston Police Department said above, "The virus is not the only invisible enemy. Be vigilant against all threats!"

Stay home and stay safe, my friends!
