97ZOK’s New Teacher of The Week Shows Dedication During Hard Times

Congratulations to our brand new Teacher of The Week, Jess Shere from Spring Creek Elementary School!

We can't go visit schools, but we can still surprise teachers with the awesome news that they're our new Teacher of The Week. We called Jess and let her know that not only is she our new TOTW, she also will receive a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes, flowers from Broadway Florist and a gift card from Oriental Trading Company.

Jess was nominated by Olivia’s Mom Krista Espinoza, she said:

Jess Shere has been the most remarkable teacher. We couldn’t have even imagined having to learn how to homeschool our children so quickly. Jess has not only helped us parents out, providing lessons, tutorials, she started out of the kindness of her heart teaching all of her kids on Zoom. She takes 30 minutes to an hour every day to keep up with math skills, grammar etc. Not only do the children get to see one another and socialize a bit, they still get to learn.

She was not told to do this by the district, just out of the kindness of her heart. Seeing my daughter light up every day gives her hope, as does me. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Jess, as there are just no words to express our gratitude. I hope she wins! She deserves it entirely.
