Let me start out by saying congratulations to Heather Geary from Whitehead Elementary School. This week's Teacher of the Week story is incredibly unique and special. It's unlike any letter we've received before, and you'll understand why after you read it.

This story will fill your heart with so much joy it will have your heart bursting at the seams. You've been warned to grab some tissues to read this one.

Heather was nominated by a VERY special person named Angelise whitescarver. Here's the letter -

Heather Geary is a phenomenal teacher. She was my fourth grade teacher when I was in 4th grade. She was always a very good teacher to me she's been an outstanding person in the building and I feel like when I was in her class I felt like I was at home.

The learning strategies she has given me has helped me throughout my life. I was going through a rough time when I was in her class. I was having trouble with my family. It was time for me to move on to a new home. My biological mother passed away, so I had to switch Foster family houses. I was in a very rough house but when I came to school it was like I didn't have to worry about what was going on at home. When she found all this out about how I wasn't in a good house she took me in her house she showed me love and had a bedroom built for me, and that is what I appreciate in her, and we need more of those type of people in this world if it wasn't for MS Geary my fourth grade teacher I don't know where I'd be right now.

This is all for her. I love you Mom.

We learned during the phone call Heather is currently in the process of adopting Angelise officially. It was all tears from there.

Here are some photos of the two she shared with us -

This was one of the most special calls we've ever had the privilege to make and it shows another reason why some people were just born to be teachers.

As a gift for her awesomeness, Heather will be getting a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes, Flowers from Broadway Florist and a gift card from Oriental Trading Company.
