This scientific study about being happy is so random that you'll start to question how or why someone even came up with it.

You gotta love science. I suppose there could be several ways to determine how one could be instantly happier, like giving a person a cupcake for instance is a good example; you give me a cupcake and BOOM, I'm instantly happy.  Maybe let someone pet a dog for 5 minutes and bam, you're feeling fantastic. So what would lead scientists to come to the conclusion that smelling someone's sweat is a good way to boost your mood? I can only imagine how that conversation came about.

Regardless of how it came about, researchers in the Netherlands have revealed that you can boost your mood and instantly be happy by smelling sweat. Not just any sweat. Sweat from a happy person.

Researchers showed participants movie scenes that made them feel scared or happy and then collected sweat samples from the viewers. Another group of unfortunate people had to smell the vials of sweat! The researchers measured the facial expressions of the smellers and found that sweat from happy people made them smile more often.

This explains why, every time I leave the gym, that I'm in a super good mood.  If you're ever in need of a mood booster, just meet me after a noon session for a sniff; I'd be happy to help put a smile on your face.
